Abstract

The use of computer and digital technologies is an essential component of modern education, as aspiring specialists require both program- and discipline-specific knowledge and the skills to create, edit, and analyze models of digital devices. This fosters an interest in computer-based modeling processes among future professionals, thereby enhancing their qualifications and engagement in the development of the digital economy.

To this end, a software tool has been developed to create, edit, and analyze models (schematics) of digital devices suitable for the automation of electronic components.

The devices discussed in this study are initially designed using Boolean functions based on logic gates, where the set of output signals at any given moment is determined by input characteristics. A digital timer serves as a practical example to demonstrate how such a computer model can be represented. Consequently, these devices are easy to manufacture, and the absence of signal-waveform converters reduces production costs.
