Open Access and Licensing

The System Technologies is a peer-reviewed open-access electronic journal. All research articles are published in open access and are available to readers immediately upon publication, free of charge, without subscription, registration, or embargo.

Open access

The Journal grants users the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, pass articles to indexing services, and use the published materials for any other lawful purpose in accordance with the terms of the applicable licence.

The full text of each published article is available on an individual article page and in PDF format.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in their works. The author(s) grant the Journal a non-exclusive right of first publication, including the right to publish the article on the Journal’s electronic platform, assign a DOI, distribute, and archive the work.

Authors may deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories, on personal websites, and on other non-commercial scholarly resources, provided that full bibliographic details, the DOI, and a link to the original publication in the Journal are included.

Article licensing

All articles published in The System Technologies are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence.

The CC BY 4.0 licence permits others to copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format, and to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided that they comply with the following conditions:

• appropriate credit is given to the author(s), the article title, the Journal, and the source of publication;
• the DOI and a link to the CC BY 4.0 licence are provided;
• any changes made are indicated;
• no legal or technological restrictions are applied that would prevent others from exercising the rights permitted by the licence.

The CC BY 4.0 licence does not waive or limit authors’ moral rights to the extent that such rights are protected under applicable law.

For all articles published under CC BY 4.0, copyright and licence information is displayed on the article landing page and in the full-text PDF.
