Aims and Scope

The System Technologies is a peer-reviewed open-access scholarly journal publishing fundamental and applied research in civil engineering, architecture, urban planning, engineering systems, construction materials, and hydraulic engineering.

The journal aims to promote scholarly exchange in the design, construction, reconstruction, operation, and reliability of buildings, structures, engineering infrastructure, water-management and hydraulic-engineering facilities, and architectural and urban heritage.

Subject Areas

The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, and short scientific communications within the following subject areas:

  • 2.1.2. Soil mechanics, foundations, and underground structures.
  • 2.1.3. Heat supply, ventilation, air conditioning, gas supply, and lighting.
  • 2.1.4. Water supply, sewerage, and engineering systems for water-resource protection.
  • 2.1.5. Construction materials and products.
  • 2.1.6. Hydraulic engineering, hydraulics, and engineering hydrology.
  • 2.1.7. Construction technology and construction management.
  • 2.1.9. Structural mechanics.
  • 2.1.11. Theory and history of architecture; restoration and reconstruction of architectural heritage.
  • 2.1.12. Architecture of buildings and structures; creative concepts in architectural practice.
  • 2.1.13. Urban planning and planning of rural settlements.

Digital modelling, building information modelling (BIM), geographic information technologies, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and digital twins are considered only where they are applied to research and practical problems within the journal’s stated construction, architectural, engineering, and hydraulic-engineering scope.

Manuscript Requirements

Manuscripts must present original research results and include a clearly defined research problem, methodology, analysis of results, and conclusions. All research articles undergo initial editorial screening and independent peer review.

The journal does not consider manuscripts outside its stated scope or submissions that do not present an original scholarly contribution.
