Abstract

The article considers one of the modern types of public spaces for small historical settlements - universal information and cultural centers (“community centers”). The place of universal information and cultural centers in the structure of a small historical settlement is revealed. The world experience of designing such centers in small settlements is summarized. Variants of functional modern event digital content of universal information and cultural centers are also considered. In conclusion, the principles are outlined on which the concept of introducing universal information and cultural centers into the structure of the architectural and compositional framework in small historical settlements of the Rostov region is based.
