Abstract

The results of studies on modeling the tangential movement of water in small‑sized devices with magnetic stirrers as an alternative to the linear flow of water in pipelines, with the placement of small‑sized polymer samples of internal protective coatings of pipes used in trenchless repair of engineering networks, are presented. The trends in the transformation of a number of chemical parameters of the initial tap water over time during the process of adding chlorine to it, as well as changes in the roughness of the samples of the studied polymer materials due to the incrustation of mineral salts on their surface, have been identified. In the experiments to determine the hydraulic characteristics of the samples, profilometry and light microscopy methods were used, which made it possible to identify the dynamics of changes in the equivalent resistance coefficients Кe of the given samples. The hydraulic friction coefficients ʎ and the specific resistance A of the protective coating samples were determined by calculation, and an analysis was carried out of the changes in energy parameters when these coatings are potentially used in the practice of trenchless pipeline repair.
